Our laboratory is primarily engaged in the application of NMR and crystallography methods to address fundamental problems in biology.  Typical projects in the lab involve studies of binary as well as higher-order protein-protein and protein-DNA complexes.  We are particularly looking for candidates with considerable experience in protein expression, purification, and structural characterization by NMR or crystallography. 

We have excellent NMR, crystallography, and computational resources in the department.  We also have access to super high field NMR instruments and synchrotron sources in the area.  The department is a highly-interactive, intellectually stimulating environment and is situated in the beautiful Evanston campus in close proximity to Lake Michigan.  Evanston is a suburb of Chicago and both places are cosmopolitan and among some of the most highly desirable places to live in the country.
